Film, TV and DVD notices for Harry Potter 5: Order of the Phoenix, the release of Elisha Cuthbert in Captivity, Transformers and Shooter, Black Snake Moan and more on DVD

Harry Potter 5: Order of the Phoenix has opened at the theaters, complete with young love, familiar faces and a serious case of puberty. Lord Voldemort has returned and its up to Harry and his crew to keep the evil Lord in his place. Harry Potter 5 opened on July 11th. Who will be cast in the Half-Blood Prince? Check out these ideas from MTV Movies Blog.

Opening today is Captivity, the new thriller featuring Elisha Cuthbert. A top cover girl lives the life of luxury until she awakens to find herself chained in a basement and subjected to a series of horrifying tortures.

Monk and Psych both return to USA for new seasons starting at 9 and 10pm EST respectively. Marci Maven plays an obsessive fan of the obsessive Mr. Monk and after she wins him in a charity auction, he's forced to take on her weird case. In Psych, our wanna be psychic takes a case protecting an overly harsh judge. Tim Curry guest stars.

Another USA project, Burn Notice debuted three weeks ago Thursday. Master spy Michael Weston (played by Jeffrey Donovan) gets a burn notice, a spy's equivalent of getting fired. Except when a spy is fired, he's dumped in a town and just "left hanging" until further notice. No credit, no bank accounts and of course, there's always the enemy spies to deal with.

Transformers is heating up the box office in their second week since opening day. Rated PG-13, this surprise sleeper has mecha fans all in a buzz. Shia LeBeouf stars. Transformers has grossed $181 million to date.

Out on DVD this week are Shooter, staring Mark Wahlberg, Black Snake Moan (Sam Jackson & Christina Ricci and Pride (Terrence Howard). Also on the New Release shelf is Astronaut Farmer, which has Billy Bob Thorton looking to the heavens one more time.

Already in full swing at the theaters is Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, 1408 and Sicko. The latest Michael Moore creation, Sicko is a documentary about our health care system and a look at just how lacking it really is. 1408 stars John Cusack as a ghost-hunter who's unfortunately never actually seen a ghost. Until now.

Coming soon to a theater near you? Hairspray and I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry both open on July 20, 2007. The Simpsons movie hits theaters on July 27th and if you really want to get excited, The Bourne Ultimatum is set to release on August 3rd and Rush Hour 3 will debut on August 10th. Mark your calendars - its going to be an entertaining summer.
