As the rumors are confirmed that Grey's Anatomy star Isaiah Washington was fired earlier this month, Washington lashes out with a public statement that the dismissal was actually due to racism. In an interview with Newsweek, Washington states that he tried to make amends for the anti-gay slur used on more than one occasion back in January against co-worker T.R. Knight. He later made a public apology and the only statement issued by ABC at the time was that his actions were "unacceptable". Now, it appears that Washington won't be back for the new season and according to his Newsweek interview, he believes it's because he refused to "act like a submissive black man at work".

The tour will consist of 11 concerts during December and January and will be the first reunion with all five Spice Girls since Ginger left in 1998 to pursue a solo career. Motley Crue's Nikki Sixx will enter the circle of published authors when his book, Heroin Diaries: A Year in the Life of a Shattered Rock Star, hits the bookshelves on September 18, 2007. The book is a compilation of actual diaries kept by Sixx during the 80's that document his struggle with drugs. Additional commentary is provided by Sixx as well as family members, bandmates and friends, recounting their experiences and memories from that time.
Cameron Diaz has officially joined the cast of The Box, a new horror movie scheduled to begin production in November. The story is a remake of a Twilight Zone episode, Button, Button, and centers around an unhappy married couple who receive a mysterious box on their doorstep. Push the button and the bearer gains instant wealth but the price is a life. Diaz is also confirmed to voice again in Shrek 4, scheduled for 2010 and What Happens in Vegas..., set to release in 2008.
Rapper/actress Eve must wear an alcohol-detecting anklet and attend at least 10 AA meetings after pleading no contest to a DUI. Eve was actually facing two DUI charges, but the second count was dropped in exchange for her plea. Eve will also be placed on 36 months probation and must repair the damage to the median on Hollywood Blvd.
NBA star Tony Parker and Desperate Housewives Diva Eva Longoria are set to wed sometime next week. Parker has stated that only a "french cake will do" but isn't saying much else. Rumor has it that the event will take place at the Chateau de Vaux-le-Vicomte.
